Highlight:
- I just wanted to shoutout CoryD for being my favorite AI-resistance blogger in the world of tech and software dev. Their posts discourage the use of generative and intrusive AI, and encourage more human creation and connection. Reading their blog cleanses my soul every time I see an AI post in the wild. Thank you for being a vocal voice in the community.
Web discoveries:
- sweetfish - i absolutely love the simplicity of their page and their creative works. I felt inspired to make my own interactive fiction after playing Night Confessional.
- alt.red - a cool website with lots of inspiring projects (games and stories). I'm excited to dive deep and explore what's out there.
- anhvn - another inspirational artist website and digital garden with so many pages to explore!
- aksui - such a perfectly simple and curious commonplace blog/site where they talk mostly about literature and other stuff.
- everest-pipkin - i enjoy the simple themed sites a lot. Another wonderful personal web to explore.
- lavieenmeow - poems, games, and things!
- https://manonamora.neocities.org - more interactive fiction games to discover!
- neoint-webring - webring for interactive fiction creators and fans. (where i've been finding some of these sites lately)
Substack essays & other articles:
- i need to be someone new - the most spiritually relatable essay i've ever read on Substack that I felt like I was reading my own diary.
- Why Everything is Becoming a Game - extremely insightful and hearty read. Can make you think about how you play your own game of life.
- We Don't Need 'Self-Help,' We Need Support - finding the root cause of unhappiness and dissatisfaction at a deeper (government) level.
- meaningful making - notes on social media and content creation.
- oblique strategies for starting a new project - need to re-read this piece bc i can't seem to remember if i learned anything from it, but it's about project strategies!
