Web bookmark (vol.1)
I love to traverse the internet for personal websites and blogs. When I was 11, I gained access to my aunt's computer and became a chronic webhopper who clicked every link, webring, and affiliate page that ever existed to find more websites to feast my eyes upon. There's just this sense of discovery and contentment I feel whenever I find a rare hidden gem of a site that sparks so much joy which was only accessible through combing other people's personal spaces. A decade and a half later, here I am, still the same.
New discoveries from the indie web
New websites I recently stumbled upon that are cute, clean, or inspiring.
- olliveen - i love the whole aesthetic and creative UI. It's so exciting to click and explore.
- noodledesk - such a cute, simple, and easy to navigate website. I love the experience of exploring and the doodles are so adorable. I'm considering creating an account on substack just so I can subscribe to her and read more of her writing.
- soulbox - the digital grayscale aesthetic is so clean i love it.
- itatoys - the complete opposite aesthetic from the one above: it's so damn colorful! It has a bit of retro fashion magazine vibes which is so fun to look at.
Web bookmarks
Websites that I've had on my tabs for awhile that I find interesting but haven't gotten to explore fully yet.
- wilburzhang - a simple but captivating personal site. I love the whole chill vibes.
- dreamer.nu - a soft and clean personal site that's just waiting to be explored.
- caffeine.wiki - a simple and cool "choose your adventure" type of blog. I love it.
- refinedmind - another "choose your adventure" type of blog but a bit more straightforward.
- marginchronicles - a collection of writer stuff.
- leftunsaid - a neocities site with a lot of words. I can't wait to read them.
- aywren - a gaming blog.
- nathanwentworth - cool personal site.
- azlen - clean and simple site.
- blackout - an interesting simple site.
- frills - a cute pink site!
I'll stop here for now to take in all these beautiful websites for the week. This is kinda the same as my daily garden of inspiration, but it's more like a bookmark of spaces I haven't fully explored yet that I still need to read more of.
I think I'm just a personal website hoarder tbh.
