Sunday Sessions #4
Happy Sunday!
It’s been a fun, tiring week of going out in the snow for days. This post was late due to the fact that I’ve been preoccupied with a new game I got lately. I haven’t blogged the whole week and I miss it so much. Tomorrow we’re back to business baby!
I had an interesting cozy birthday. I woke up in the morning with my family’s (my dad and brother) first message being a question of where we were gonna eat dinner that night. Not gonna lie, it took a lil toll on me and I surprisingly felt sad about it (I usually wouldn’t care, but that particular week was very emotional for no reason that little things made me sob easily). But I did get a little surprise party from my dear faves in my ACNH town (Sherb, Rosie, and Zucker) and it made me tear up a little. Core memory perhaps.
I did nothing but go outside and eat. Even when it was snowing and I was freezing like hell in the beginning of spring. All of my reels were mostly eating and walking around malls lol.
I went to the bookstore for the first time in years and actually got myself some books! This was such a breath of fresh air for me and reminded me of the old times when I was a kid and used to love bookstores so much. It made me reminisce and write a blog post in my head haha. I bought two manga for the art (I don’t even know the story lol) and it made me want to get back into drawing again. Maybe it’ll help. Hopefully. I wanted to get a novel but I was unsure what to grab and didn’t want my first reintroduction to reading to be disappointing so I’ll be on the lookout for interesting recommendations online first. I also almost bought a cute self care notebook because the cover was just so cozy and pretty and the templates were simple and easy to use. I might check it out again next time.
my duo got me two new switch games: Pokémon Scarlet (because he wanted me to play it with him) and Loop8 (it looked interesting from the snapshots). I actually tried Pokémon for the first time yesterday and it’s really fun! I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it so quickly. I knew I liked some of the mechanics but I was scared the text would bore me and stuff. It’s fun and will probably get a little addicted collecting and discovering cute lil creatures.
(updated): Almost forgot, i finished a new kdrama! I haven’t completed one in so long since I tend to drop or put on hold titles that either drag on for too long or don’t hold up to my standards and I get bored. “Ghost Doctor” was a 9.5/10 - got me hooked just enough to keep me clicking next episode again. Very worth the watch, recommended :)
Today I went with my mom to Winners to buy some new home clothes. I’ve been wanting to change my wardrobe and my parents have also been nagging me to get proper clothes for awhile now so I decided to give in. Perfect timing because the shop had a 20% discount just for the day. I’m in no financial position to be spending money on some clothes but I desperately want a new change of pace starting with what I wear to feel good and productive during the day. Thankfully my mom is wonderful and generous and offers to get them for me. I’m gonna try and revamp my closet and keep only the ones that make me feel and look good so I don’t feel trashy and lazy all the time. Thanks mom!
My goals for this week:
- Deep clean & organize my room - particularly my wardrobe and bookshelf. I want to throw away unnecessary things that I don’t use or don’t spark joy, clear my wardrobe where I highlight good clothes I will use to make me feel better, and keep everything neat and tidy.
- return to the productive mindset and start some projects — at least one. I still haven’t decided which one (decision fatigue hitting).
- Maybe start actually thinking about my business (screeches)
- I saw a blog post where you can sign up to join a group of people to be productive and accountable with. I’m a little shy (I don’t even share my blog anywhere or encourage any communication atm because of im not ready for the social aspect yet) but i think its really interesting and I’ll think about it, probably gather up the courage to join if I ever decide what project i wanna do.
It’s 12 midnight so technically it isn’t Sunday anymore but better late than never!
