March highlights ๑˚⊹
✦ Finally started bearblog!
I've always wanted to start a blog but have been postponing it for quite some time now, waiting for a "perfect moment" to join. But let's face it, there's never a perfect time. There's only time, and what you do with it. So I just started one and in a span of a month, I've published about 40 entries (not including this one and all the drafts on my folder) already. It just kinda goes to show how much I've been holding myself back with everything I've been wanting to say and write about, and I'm really happy to have taken this step forward.
✦ Finally started walking on the treadmill
It actually all started because I woke up with a sore back and decided I will start taking care of my health more. I went downstairs and walked on the treadmill for a few minutes that grew to 30 and 40 minutes. I've gotten a few weekly streaks and I'm very proud of myself for slowly incorporating it in my lifestyle every morning.
✦ Finalized my OC persona
It's been a long time coming but I've finally decided on the design of my persona - the face of my whole online identity. I want to use her as the main character of a project I'm planning to work on for Quarter Two.
✦ Drew some cute girls
Started drawing again and it's been freeing. I missed drawing so much. I made a few WIPs and sketches for future render.
✦ Drafted some poems
I would get random poetic one-liners every now and then and scribble them on my Obsidian app. I haven't fully written a page of its own, but I have one that's currently all over the place with one overarching theme. I tend to write poems on the fly, whenever inspiration strikes and the feelings call out to me. They just kinda form on their own. So I'll be patient and wait for the next hit of inspiration.
✦Brainstormed a few more projects
I added a few more "official" projects in the list, inspired by recent personal events. I have more than I can count on one hand now, where one of them is currently dominating my thoughts. Too many ideas!
✦ Spent my birthday week outside
During my birthday week I spent the whole day outside eating good food and walking around malls and such. It's a nice break from my room. I also spent my birthday night with my family and loved ones, eating a nice dinner. I'm grateful for all the comfort days of 2024.
✦ Got two new games and manga
I have two new switch games: Pokemon Scarlet and Loop8. I also got two new manga that I have no idea what's about, I just really like the art. Before the month ended on the 31st, I also used up the birthday discount from the bookstore and bought Hyperbole and a Half and The Girl from the Other Side hardcover omnibus for more inspiration. All thanks to my duo~
✦ Started Pokemon Scarlet
I started this game this month and I'm really enjoying it so far. I love the open world creature collecting aspect, and there's lots to do. I can see myself getting a little bit addicted to it, and now I have two games that requires my time. I need to wake up a little earlier so I can have more time for everything I want to do without stealing my time for productivity.
✦ Another successful daily reels
Another month of daily dia-reels! I almost missed a few, I have some late uploads and there were days that I felt like I was getting a little lazy to edit at night, but I pulled through and completed the whole month once again! That's now 91 days and entries.
✦ Discovered and made a Substack
I dedicate this to Noodledesk. I discovered her website which I loved so much and decided to follow her writing on Substack so I impulsively made an account just to subscribe. I've been browsing quietly and bookmarking articles, and accidentally found this essay from Internet Princess and fell in love, hopeful to read more insightful ones in the future. It was an amazing first experience and introduction to the platform itself.
✦ Lessened social media usage
I dropped Twitter this month successfully. For weeks I stopped using it (thanks to blogs and websites as my healthy substitute), and only got back during the last few days on March to check up on my mutuals and how they're doing. I just need to find a healthier way to use these apps since I still want to connect with my communities.
✦ Started a new channel I made a new Youtube channel for my experimental videos. There's nothing there yet, but at least I started. Next month I'm planning on being more active and publishing my dream videos.
✦ Revamped the site
I changed my website again. This time, it's a lot more simpler but tedious. It also looks just a bit more readable on mobile, but it's still not completely how I want to look like (it's so much harder to check for mobile since Neocities doesn't update the CSS immediately..) I have to tweak it some more next month but I'm proud of taking another step towards my projects.
✦ Started streaming again
I had a whopping 3-day streaming streak before my birthday week. It was the time I felt a little addicted to Apex. After that week, I streamed once, again. I think I'm slowly starting to feel like streaming again, as long as I think of it as an activity for myself (a mindset I've learned from blogging). It was fun and I definitely want to keep doing it.
✦ Discovered a lot of web gardens and new sites
I've been drowning in inspiration this whole month after I started blogging and being more active with web travelling. I've made a few posts sharing what I've found, and it doesn't stop there.

final notes
I feel like I did so much this month, all thanks to blogging. I want to continue living like this - digitally but more present, balanced and mentally relaxed, productive but also taking care of myself, slow but progressing, not where I want to be yet but still content. I'll continue finding ways to live in the present while simultaneously working for the future, using this phone and the internet as tools that can help me achieve archiving my life instead of consuming it.
